About Tomintoul Distillery

Tomintoul Distillery is located inside the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. The distillery is named after the nearby village of Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands of Scotland. The Distillery was established in 1965 and uses traditional techniques that stretch back hundreds of years, to make our award-winning single malt, “the gentle dram”.

Booking Policy

Tomintoul Distillery Tour Terms and Conditions

Booking
1\. Once payment is made via Stripe you will be given a place/places on your chosen tour date and time, and a booking confirmation will be emailed to you. This email will act as your ticket. You can either print the email or show it to the guide on your phone screen when you arrive.
2\. If you do not receive a confirmation email, then please contact us via email at tomintoulsocial@angusdundee.co.uk so that we can confirm your place.
3\. Minimum age of participants to complete the distillery tour is 15 years of age, however participants must be 18 years or older to drink any alcohol on the tour. Participants who are attempting to drink/buy alcohol who look under the age of 25 will be asked to prove that they are aged 18 or older, in line with the Challenge 25 policy. If you are under 18 you are committing an offence if you attempt to buy alcohol.
4\. By beginning your tour, you are accepting all of the terms and conditions outlined in this policy document.
5\. It is the customer’s responsibility to check that the dates booked are the accurate ones.
6\. Please arrive at the distillery visitor centre in good time to ensure that the tour may start as scheduled. Please let us know of any delays in advance via tomintoulsocial@angusdundee.co.uk or on the day at 01807 590274.

Rescheduling, Cancellation and Refunds Policy
1\. If you wish to cancel your tour, we ask that you please give us 48 hours’ notice. Full refunds will be given for cancellations made up to 48 hours before your tour start time.
2\. Tours cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be offered the opportunity to reschedule (subject to availability) however no refund will be given.
3\. To cancel your tour or if you wish to reschedule your booking, please contact tomintoulsocial@angusdundee.co.uk.
4\. If you are late arriving for the tour without letting us know, or if you miss the tour entirely because you are a no-show, you will be fully charged for the tickets that you purchased, as you have not provided us with at least 48 hours’ notice of your cancellation.

Changes by us
1\. We reserve the right to change our tour schedule at any time. We will endeavour to avoid this but if it is necessary, we will offer alternative arrangements of comparable value to any customers affected.
2\. We reserve the right to alter our tour schedule in the event of happenings outside the control of Tomintoul Distillery, includes dangerous conditions, outbreaks of contagious diseases, revolution, national or local strikes, political protests, social disorder or disruptive political unrest. We will offer full refunds in the case of any of the above.
3\. We reserve the right to alter the price of our tours at any time.

Your Responsibilities
1\. It is the responsibility of the customer to inform the distillery team in writing of any medical condition that requires attention or medication before your tour commences, as well as inform the tour guide on the day.
2\. It is the responsibility of the customer to dress appropriately for a distillery tours, namely wearing close-toed shoes.
3\. During the tour, staff members of Tomintoul Distillery, may take pictures and videos of you (as part of the touring group) to be used on our website/brand literature/advertising/publicity material. In such a case, it is your responsibility to let that staff member know if you do not consent to be featured in those pictures or videos.

Complaints
In the event that you may wish to make a formal complaint against Tomintoul Distillery, please get in touch with us in writing at tomintoulsocial@angusdundee.co.uk as soon as is reasonably possible, so that your complaint may be investigated and resolved to the best of our ability.

No Smoking Policy
We do not permit smoking in any of the buildings or grounds of Tomintoul Distillery.

Privacy
We ensure that any and all personal information provided to us online ensuring it is used only for stated purposes. We will not pass any contact or personal details on to any third party.
