Are you completely new to SUP or recently bought a board and would like some formal introduction? Join Padlo for this introductory session to stand up paddleboarding! This session is designed for complete newbies or those who've not attended a formal instructor-led course before.
During this session, you'll be equipped with all the essential SUP skills, including:
1) Introduce you to the board, paddle, and other safety kits
2) Moving the board forward and turning effectively
3) Self-rescue skills. One of the most important skills in paddleboarding where you will learn what to do and how to get back on the board. Learning this skill will not only increase your confidence but ensure your safety whilst venturing on your own adventures or with a small group of friends or family.
4) Dynamic risk assessment - why do we do it?
5) Weather and environmental considerations
Our session starts on land where we get familiarised with the kit and cover some theory. At the end of the session, you will leave with the skills and confidence how to paddle safely!
